When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

We do not share for profit or otherwise, your personal data with anyone save our analytics providers and with Mailchimp who we use to manage our mailing lists. You would also share your data with our payment handler, Paypal, Stripe or GoCardless and that would be with their privacy policies, we do not see or keep this information.
How long we retain your data
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognise and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
What rights you have over your data
If you have an account on this site or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes. Our backups would continue to hold your data for the retention period of the 30day rolling back up before it would drop off. There is a chance that If we were to have to recover our site that your data would be recovered however we would immediately activate the data deletion routine.
Where we send your data
Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service. We no longer share your data with the domain registry we register all domains in our co Clientserv details to further protect our clients. However, older domains may still have this data within their record but this is no longer public information.
How we protect your data
Any data you give via our site is stored within the site’s databases, these are backed up nightly. The site itself is protected with an SSL certificate which is automatically kept up to date. We protect your data as much as possible however it must be noted that your data is only as safe as your password, you must choose a secure password, not use the same one with other sites and turn on 2FA where offered. This is good practice not just for our sites but ANY site.

As soon as we are aware of any breach the relevant authorities would be informed (unless it was them informing us of the breach) and there advise would be followed.
